Apple Music offers a catalog of over one hundred million songs with lossless and spatial audio options. The sound quality is excellent, especially for listeners using decent headphones or home audio systems.

Integration with Apple devices is seamless. Siri can play any track with a voice command, and the app syncs libraries across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. Lyrics view and sing-along mode are polished extras.

The Android and web apps have improved but still feel secondary. Features arrive later and the interface does not match the native iOS experience. Windows users have a functional but basic client.

Discovery is less aggressive than Spotify's algorithm. Apple leans on human-curated playlists and radio shows, which some listeners prefer. Others miss the weekly surprises of competitor playlists.

Apple Music is the obvious choice for Apple households. For mixed-device users, the value depends on how much spatial audio and lossless quality matter to you.
