DoorDash Review

Food delivery app

3.7
★★★½☆
890 reviews

DoorDash makes ordering restaurant food at home effortless. The app is fast, payment is simple and delivery tracking is usually accurate within a few minutes. The downside is cost.

Fees add up quickly. Delivery fees, service fees and tips can push a simple meal close to double the in-restaurant price. DashPass reduces these charges for frequent users but only pays off if you order at least twice a month.

Restaurant selection is wide in cities and thinner in suburbs. During peak hours, some popular restaurants pause delivery or extend estimated times significantly. Order accuracy is generally good, though mistakes happen.

Customer support has improved. Refunds for missing items are now usually issued as credits within minutes. Some users report difficulty reaching a human for complex problems.

DoorDash is best for occasional convenience rather than routine meals. If you use it regularly, the subscription is worth considering; otherwise, the fees can feel excessive.

Convenient but expensive. A $12 sandwich becomes $24 after fees.

Cold food twice this month. Drivers seem rushed.
