Peloton Review

Connected fitness platform

Peloton built its name on immersive home workouts. The hardware is solid, the instructors are engaging and the class library covers cycling, strength, yoga and meditation. The experience feels closer to a boutique studio than a solo exercise routine.

The bike itself is expensive and takes up noticeable space. Setup is professional and included in most packages. Build quality is high, with a quiet belt drive and a crisp touchscreen.

The app-only subscription is a more affordable entry point. It loses the live leaderboard and hardware metrics but keeps most classes. For renters or travelers, the app is often enough.

Class variety is excellent. New sessions drop daily and the music partnerships keep playlists fresh. Some users feel overwhelmed by the social features and prefer to hide the leaderboard entirely.

Peloton is worth the investment if you will use it several times a week and value motivation from instructors. It is harder to justify as an occasional workout tool.

Great classes, but the bike is too expensive for what it is.

App-only works well for my apartment. I use a regular spin bike.
